Time to Watch Their Backs
She needs your prayers. He needs your prayers. Who? The Christians you know or heard of. It may not seem like it. God is using them very well. They look happy and highly active for God. Still, they need your prayers.
If there is a concern about any Christian, pray for them. If there is an admiration for a Christian, pray for them. They do not need to attend your Church or be part of your Church denomination. We are one Body in Jesus Christ.
They may be going through a difficult period in their lives, which they did not share with you. Pray for them and allow the Spirit of God to direct your prayers. They may be swimming through the troubled waters or walking through a fiery situation. Your prayers will keep them strong in the Lord. Your prayers will destroy any attacks of the devil against them. You will never know until you start praying.
If there is any love for a Christian, pray for them. Some Christians are intercessors and are able to stand in the gap for other Christians and bear their burden as if it is their own. These people pray until the burden is lifted from their minds. We do not all have to become intercessors but God has given us the grace to pray.
In our own prayer life, we can bear each other's burden and pray with all kinds of prayer for all Christians, just as Paul admonished in the Bible "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:17-18 WEB).
Let us watch in prayer for all the Christians we know. Watch their backs should in case the devil sneaks up on them while they are concentrating on the work of God. Be vigilant for yourself and for others. Pray when you know they are doing fine. Pray when you think they may be having problems. Pray when you do not know what is going on with them.
It is a great blessing to pray for others. It is giving and sacrificing time for others. God will reward you accordingly. Whenever you feel you need someone to watch your back, do not be shy in asking another Christian friend to keep you in prayers. Or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your prayer requests.
